A small studio
that does two things.
Raes Studio was set up in 2020 to make websites and photoshoots for schools and small businesses. Then, on the same terms, for everyone else.
01 — The studio
Photographer and
builder, same room.
The studio exists because the two jobs kept being handed to different people who never spoke. A brand would commission photographs, then a year later hand them to a web agency who cropped them square and put them behind a slider.
Here the shot list is written from the layout and the layout is drawn around the frames. It is a small advantage, repeated on every page.
02 — How we work
Fewer, better
Eight to ten projects a year. Enough attention for each one to be finished rather than delivered.
Say the price first
A fixed number before work starts. If the brief grows we tell you what it costs before we do it.
Nothing rented
Your domain, your hosting, your files, your accounts. Leaving us should cost you nothing.
Plain language
No decks, no jargon, no invented metrics. If we cannot explain a decision in a sentence, it is the wrong decision.
03 — Part of Irial Holdings
The group is the
first client.
Raes is the digital services arm of Irial Holdings — a Singapore-registered group of small, deliberately slow businesses. The group's own work taught the studio what it does: photograph the thing properly, then build the page around the photograph.
Group work comes first in the calendar. Everything else in this portfolio was commissioned from outside it, on the same terms and at the same prices.

- A short written agreement per project, as long as the job needs and no longer. Fifty per cent to book, balance on delivery.
